A place for everything
Almost every storage problem is a measuring problem wearing a disguise. The cupboard under the sink is 38 cm deep and the organiser you bought is 42. The shelf clears the radiator by two centimetres, on the side where the pipe isn't. Nobody lacks discipline; they lack the twenty seconds with a tape measure that would have prevented the whole thing.
Stowkit sells storage pieces for kitchens, closets and the awkward corners in between. Most of it needs no drilling, because the majority of people in the Netherlands rent and would rather not explain a wall plug to their landlord.
Measure first, buy second
We'd genuinely rather you left without buying anything than bought a drying rack that doesn't fit your balcony. So the 15 guides on this site are mostly about measuring: which dimension actually constrains a cupboard (usually depth, not width), how much clearance a pull-out drawer needs behind it, why closet rod length matters more than closet width, and where the load limit of a tension rod really sits.
One thing we owe you honestly: the exact millimetres are not yet printed on every product page, and they should be. We are working through the range with our supplier to get them there. In the meantime, if a measurement matters to your decision, ask us and we'll get the figure from the supplier before you order rather than after. That is a slower answer than a spec table, and a much better one than a guess.
Where the products come from
Worth stating plainly, because shops our size often don't. Stowkit holds no warehouse stock of its own. Your order goes to the supplier who manufactures and stores the item, and they ship it to you directly with tracking. Hence 8 to 15 days instead of tomorrow morning, and hence the prices: no warehouse rent and no distributor margin sit on top of them.
The relationship stays with us, though. We invoice you, we handle returns, and we carry the warranty. Anything can go back within 14 days for any reason at all, and everything carries a 2-year warranty. Every product photograph is the supplier's own photograph of the actual item, never a staged stock image of something similar; the images in our guides and news articles are licensed stock photography.
The company behind the shop
Stowkit is a trading name of Botlease, a small registered Dutch business. Chamber of Commerce number 95943420, VAT number NL005182627B44, both in the footer of every page and in the order confirmation we email you, so you can look us up in the public Dutch business register before ordering.
Botlease runs two other shops in unrelated categories, Deskt for desk and workspace gear and Pawkit for dog and cat gear. Same company, same accounting, same person replying to your email.
